Love the pink!
The Vancouver Farmer's Market is open!
My first Farmer's Market purchase of 2013
This view on my way home from work never gets old...Mt. St. Helens
Seriously, this temperature was on March 30th. I had to document it! I've never experienced such a warm March day (except for in Florida, of course!)
Easter was low key this year. We weren't feeling well, so we went to church and came and relaxed for the rest of the day, but that didn't stop the Easter Bunny from showing up!
He passed this beautiful place on the way to our house....Really, it was on our way home from church!
I love this tree....especially in front of a blue sky.
I love flowers! I can never get enough....JSM brought these home for Easter.
JSM got his usual Easter basket including vanilla marshmallows (his favorite) in the shape of ducklings (not really age-appropriate, but hey, it's Easter!) If I'm married to the "world's oldest teenager" he's definitely married to the world's goofiest thirty-something ;)
But seriously, the Easter Bunny was especially good to us this year. I love how the Easter Bunny knows exactly what will brighten up my everyday. Strong coffee.....and lots of it! I got the new coffee maker I've needed and it came in the exact brand JSM has been asking for (I mean begging for) for years! How did he know? That Easter Bunny is so smart. One of life's greatest pleasures is a cup of coffee with cream (OK, maybe 2 cups, but I draw the line at 3.....I promise.) Smiles all around......at least every morning!
A note about this week's book: Carry On, Warrior Thoughts On Life Unarmed by Glennon Doyle Melton was written by a high school classmate, who wouldn't know me on the street, but she blogs beautifully and honestly at Momastery. Two things I've learned from this blog: 1. You NEVER know what someone might be going through on the inside by seeing just the outside. 2. We are really all the same. Her book is (pretty good!) proof.... I've laughed (a lot), I've cried (a little), and I've realized that even the popular girls don't really feel popular and I'm not the only one who accidentally sent her husband to work with smelly clothes because I forgot to take the laundry out of the washing machine. But most importantly, I see some of myself in her, too. We are all the same even if our experiences may be a little different. Take that, tears!
