Happy Easter!

I celebrated this beautiful weekend by making hot cross buns.... I used this recipe from Martha Stewart, but replaced the apricot topping with a traditional icing. These yeast buns are scented with orange and lemon zest and are delicious!

And dying eggs...I don't really eat eggs so this was the first time I'd ever hard-boiled eggs! I had to consult a cookbook to figure out how to do it. Shh....don't tell anyone.

JSM celebrated by planting some new plants in the yard! While I was busy in the kitchen he went to the nursery down the street. He said he was going to buy me a Japanese Maple (my favorite tree!) and he came home with the tree and all of these wonderful plants for our yard! He is doing an amazing job with our landscaping!
