On Vacation

That pretty much sums up our month of July! Well, actually, it's more like we were just out of town. We did start the month with a week on Cape Cod, but JSM also drove to NY City for a meeting (from Boston), spent some time in Florida "on business" which of course included golf, and camped for a weekend with his buddies at The Gorge to see Phish. That afforded me a fantastic Girls Weekend with my sweet friend, Jen, who moved to central-eastern Washington last year and now resides in the tri-cities.

Our trip to the Cape was wonderful this year. It had been at least 2 years since we had been (shame on us!) and the weather was warm (really I mean hot, but after 9 months in the northwest it felt amazing!) We got to spend more time with family, and less time running around, we got to meet our new niece, Elizabeth, and chat with Coleman about Legos now that he's almost 7! (I can't believe it!) We did a little shopping, a lot of drinking of Dunkin Donuts Coffee, toured Boston, watched baseball at Fenway, ate lobster rolls, watched the sunset on Corporation Beach, spent a couple glorious days in Osterville on the water, played golf (JSM) went out on Nantucket Sound in a captained boat (me), and took lots of photos. Here's a peek at our trip to Massachusetts to see JSM's family:

Vacations are wonderful especially when they are spent with family. Although, truthfully, I could have stayed an extra week in order to relax on the beach and read a book. But that will have to be for another time. I look forward to seeing these guys again.....and soon!!
